Green cabbage or Savoy cabbage can easily be kept in the fridge for up to four weeks. Store this vegetable in an open plastic bag in the crisper drawer. You can store the savoy cabbage outside the refrigerator, but it will have a shorter shelf life.
You don’t have to use up a large crop in one go. Halve the head lengthwise and keep the rest in the fridge. Cover the cut surfaces with cling film.
